To help utilise the space of the side of the deck created for RMIT university and rather than finish the edge with balustrading, the university went with a tiered seating unit. The ground where this unit was installed followed a sloped down a hill so the area had to be mapped out and each leg of the terrace designed and cut to suit the site.
